I am only speaking for myself but there are lots of people on this site who feel the same way.
NO ONE BUT NO ONE WILL DEFEND HERMAN CAIN *IF* (emphasis) HE IS PROVEN (again emphasis) GUILTY.
So, WHERE’s the EVIDENCE that he’s guilty other than the accusation? Does mere accusation count for guilt?
Is Sarah Palin an adulterer because someone wrote a book accusing her of having an affair with an NBA basketball player named Glen Rice?
No one ( certainly not me ) should be or will be embarassed if Herman Cain is proven guilty because all we are asking is CREDIBLE EVIDENCE.
If you have one, maybe you’d like to point us to it....

When that book came out about Sarah Palin, if her first reaction had been to say “Well, I don’t even know who Glen Rice is” and then the next day she said “okay, I know who Glen Rice, but I don’t know him personally” and then she’d followed that up the next day by saying “well, okay, I know him, but I didn’t have anything to do with him sexually”, then I would have wondered why her story changed. Cain has engaged in the same kind of behavior. He didn’t tell the truth, and now he wants to deflect the truth by screaming about lynchings and media attacks.
I do not know what Herman Cain did or didn’t do. I hope that he didn’t do what this woman said he did. The trouble is that, because he’s been completely inconsistent in his response, I’m not sure I can ever trust that he’s telling the truth about any of it.
