Given the extent to which Obama has aided AQ/the Muslim Brotherhood in the ongoing “Arab Spring”, it is doubtful that the raid would have been kept secret from them in any case. Obama’s contacts would have been informed immediately after (or even before) the raid. In fact, AQ might have been the source of the intel on “Osama”. Even if one believes that Osama was still alive to be killed “by Obama”, Osama was old, sick and ineffective. Trading “Osama” for help in taking over several Arab states would have been a good deal for ambitious younger members of AQ.
