"I have been called 'Uncle Tom,' 'sellout,' 'Oreo,' 'shameless," Cain often tells his overwhelmingly white audiences as he seeks the Republican presidential nomination. "In the words of my grandfather," he said last spring in Iowa Falls, "I does not care. I does not care."

I agree. I doubt Thomas would have been confirmed if Anita Hill and another woman had, fifteen years earlier, received tens of thousands of dollars to keep quiet about their accusations.
She has reason to. Just consider all the insults - printable and unprintable - FReepers have already heaped on her. Do you think everyone will suddenly become fair - let alone kind - once they have her name?
Not sure what you mean by that but here are the stats on Cain and his parents which clearly make him a natural born citizen.
Herman Cain born December 13, 1945 in Memphis, TN (Meets the Jus Soli Requirement) Parents were Luther Cain Jr., born March 16, 1925 in TN, died March 29, 1982 in Atlanta, GA Lenora Davis, born July 27, 1925 in GA, died August 20, 2005 in Atlanta, GA Both parents were US Citizens at the time of his birth (Meets the Jus Sanguinis Requirement) Herman Cain is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN
Your bias shows in how you attribute the settlement as a payment "... to keep quiet about their accusations." The money paid out in these situations is to make them go away without forcing the corporate entity to spend the money required to prove them liars (and/or lousy employees).
The confidentiality clauses are so they can't take their extorted gains and then go around publicly badmouthing the company about how badly they were treated. As others have pointed out, if they had legitimate complaints, they'd have been able to get much more than the amounts mentioned, and it would have been Cain who was shown the door. Sexual harrassers of that ilk do it consistently, and they don't have multiple non-anonymous people who were in a position to actually witness the pattern of behavior stepping up to say that it's BS.
You mean that was not an accident!?
The CAIN case is EXACTLY like the THOMAS case.
You got a conservative black man. He MUST be destroyed lest the Democrat Plantation be threatened. Period.
NOTHING is stopping the “women” from going public as much as they like. They can show their faces; but it appears they do not want to. (I would like to see them, see if they’re believable or just plug ugly.)
CORE is a conservative outfit now. Has been for years under Niger Inniss and father, Roy.
Sounds rather self-serving, RINO behavior to me. Sort of like it was planned by Romney or Perry? Of course not! None of these upstanding “Republicans” would stoop so low. Yeah, right, sure, got it, nothing to see here, move on.
And, if you believe that, I've got 100 acres of prime Florida Everglades swamp land to sell you for your new house that's only six feet underwater.
Have you ever considered that YOU and those who think like you are exactly why these women want to remain private?
What do their looks have to do with anything? What you really seem to want to do is trash them..."women"...and you don't have a clue what did or didn't happen!
I have a few black women working in my clinic. All of them are devoutly Christian. All have Obama stickers on their cars.
The oldest and I joke. E.g. I’ll pretend to be pulling off the Obama sticker from her car etc.
One day I came into work, and put on Cains gospel CD. I asked them, “Ok, tell me who this is.” They listened and of course were very moved by the music.
None could guess it was Cain, in fact two of the women didn’t even know who he was.
Give CAin time, and in his own style to win these people over.
This does nothing but piss me off and respect Cain less and less, deepening the racial divide.
IS THIS HIS MESSAGE?
Well if this is true, then I’ve been educated today:
“Membership in CORE is still stated to be open to “anyone who believes that ‘all people are created equal’ and is willing to work towards the ultimate goal of true equality throughout the world. Today, CORE advocates for controversial, conservative causes”.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Congress_of_Racial_Equality
First time I have heard that one. Got anything to back it up with?
You should never use wikipedia as a source... anonymous people get to write disparaging things until someone corrects it. As a wise professor once said, “Only use wikipedia to utilize their sources at the end of the article.” :-)
That’s why I posted #35.
nice, i will use that
I pretty much agree with him. No credible evidence has emerged against either one.
