I'll venture a guess, and this is only a guess. They're "establishment" conservatives. Allegra, for example, bills herself as a defense contractor. While that's all well and good, and we can respect her and thank her for the good she does on behalf of our servicemen & servicewomen, that also means she has a skin in the current game.
RP's ideas scare the living sh*t out of people who fear talking about wholesale systemic change.
And like you said further up the thread, it wouldn't surprise me one bit to learn that paid campaign operatives did stuff on FR. Which is hilarious, when you think about it, because FR has an awful track record of picking the GOP nominee.
