Since this verse comes from a list of things that if practiced would preclude one from heaven, this should be a reasonably strong suggestion that the Christian should not practice drug use. So what's forbidden is either ALL drug use - including medical - or only drug use associated with sorcery or idolatry. To which interpretation do you subscribe?
