So, it sounds as if they have been doing fine for at least 30 years, producing electric power and enjoying the lake, but now that the hydroelectric company has had to apply for permission to continue doing what it’s been doing for the past 30 years, the government is moving the goal posts.

This is known as making law ex post facto. That has been considered a basic violation of justice ever since King John was forced to sign the Magna Carta. Only now it’s mostly done by regulation instead of the sword. But the sword is implied, of course.

Well they have 12 more mos to make trouble all over the country and then as soon as we swear in Newt or Herman or even Perry the party is over for the EPA and all of these other rogue agencies. I am just counting the days.
