What you said is 110% correct. Witness Obama’s election 2008. That was about as cleanly and slickly packaged as any I’ve seen.
Having said that, it’s about high time that the GOP learns how to both market AND take the offense with our ideas. Frankly, we suck at it.
Here in WA we have an initiative on the ballot that basically says a toll road can collect only for the building and maintenance of...roads. NOT to go into general funds so it can be wasted. ALL I’ve seen are scare ads put out by UNIONS. So it will probably pass easily. I’ve never understood republicans. They fight to have things passed, have initiatives put on ballots, and then DON’T spend money to defend them. I know unions have virtually unlimited funds, (courtesy of the taxpayers they are screwing) but it enrages me that our side doesn’t put up some bucks in these fights.
