Malloy proved he was an idiot when he ordered all “non-essential” state workers to report to work the Monday after the storm.
He forgot that most gas stations were not operational. That led to mile long gas lines that clogged up streets (in addition to downed power lines and trees).
On the day when the state needed the roads clear the governor added to the mess.
The utility executives really drew the short straw on this one. Most of its shareholders live in the heavily affected suburbs.
Hope they have their resumes updated.
P.S. One final insult to end this mess—CL & P’s web page announced “1%” outages on Tuesday once the outage rate dropped to 1.9999999999%.
The governor stole votes to get elected.
The utility lies with statistics to make false claims.
They and the governor deserve each other.
