I left B of A in the mid sixties, Wells Fargo in the early seventies, Mrs Patriot left (the bank, not me) in the late seventies, and we haven’t banked with ANY large bank since.

We have tried that several times, but each time we moved to a local bank, it ended up being bought up by the bank we had left. Same story with refis. Wells Fargo would not give us a competitive refi so we wen to a broker and got a good deal. Two months later, we were back with WF. These bastards won’t give you a decent deal, but they seemingly are perfectly willing to “buy” your new loan from the broker. Time that the big commercial banks were broken up along with the likes of Goldman Sachs, and at the same time we should round up Chris Dodd and Barney Frank and put them away for a long time. They are equal partners in the banking scandal.
