Well, so far Cain hasn’t fallen, despite rumors (and hopeful “predictions”) of the political class. He’s risen slowly and stayed strong, even with the horrendous crap he’s gone through lately.

Lets not forget our left friends who vote in the open primaries.
They would love to give us a McCain like candidate.
I think the Dems have something on Newt and McCain .
It would be Newts job to lose

Not sure what "adult" now means, but I'm certain I know what it does not mean. If you know what I mean.

..I'm hoping tonite's event will reveal that, friendship notwithstanding, there is a definite difference between the two men's visions for the future.
Unless Newt has completely abandoned the utopianistic post-modernism of the Tofflers, he stands in stark contrast to Mr. Cain with his rooting in the Reagan/Founding Fathers vision for America--IMHO...

Its taken years but Newt may have learned that this is his one and only chance to be President. I think he really wants it and there is no question his ideas resonate well with most people. Above all I think Newt knows he can't screw up again, or it's over for him.

The media and libs are really desperate for anyone other than Cain. They kept calling Romney the “front runner” and Cain “not serious” even when he was leading in the polls, and now they say Cain is “flailing because of sexual harassment” despite him not moving in the polls at all, and now it is between Romney and Gingrich?
This should tell any conservative who we need to nominate.

It's amazing how bad they don't want Cain to get the nomination. They know what would happen if Cain went up against Nobama.

It isn’t worth screwing America for.
Besides, the liberal heads will explode over the election of anyone other than a democrat.

If Cain falters, Newt may outflank Romney. Newt had high negatives in the late 1990s. I did not believe that he ever would have a chance for the Republican nomination. He has been somewhat flaky but I will strongly support him if he is the nominee. The conservative Republican establishment is still dismissing Cain but Cain has a strong chance for the nomination if he can deliver. At this point, no candidate has strongly separated himself from the field so Gringrich is a contender.
To: Paladins Prayer
If he does, it'll be because of RNC shenanigans. Also, Obama will win a second term because a significant part of the conservative base (myself included) are done with the pubbie version of ‘Punch & Judy’ games.
Principle, principle, principle.

Hwy, I’ve got an idea.
Whyn’t y’all take a chill pill, pop some corn, grab a brew and sit back and watch the debate.
None of us knows everything, no matter how convinced we are we do. there’s always room to learn something.
So watch the freaking debate and THEN pontificate...unless, of course you have a candidate better than either Newt or Herman. If so, DO enlighten us.
