Republican 2012 presidential candidates Republican 2012 presidential candidates Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich met in a Lincoln-Douglas style debate on current economic and social issues facing the U.S.
I AM A CAIN GIRL!!!
Is he currently claiming homestead in VA or Georgia? I knew he had a residence in VA so figured he would claim VA residency if it came down to it.
Cain just tweeted this
THEHermanCain Herman Cain
“Who “won” the debate? The American people—by listening to two leaders who care deeply about the future of this great nation.”
I would expect C-SPAN to rerun this debate several times over the next few days...the positive buzz this receives should bring in quite a few new viewers.
MSM can’t let go of the “big” hit they banked on bringing Cain down. Instead, it’s been the wind beneath his wings!
The islamic bastard in the white house must be quaking in his boots about debating either one of these fine Americans.
I enjoyed this tonight for that very reason..no blood shed. I couldn't help thinking about the week that Mr. Cain has had. And then to show up tonight..carry on..smile on face..down to business. They did not side track the man..they made him more determined.
I like Newt too. But honestly..I think Newt is shooting for VP and not president. I think he wants to be CAIN’s VP. They compliment each other..it's almost uncanny.
Cain may or may not beat Obama technically in a debate..but he would win over voters just because he is who he is. He's the real deal. May God continue to bless this nation that hasn't deserved it for a while. And, may God bless these candidates.
Steve King was getting on my nerves as well. He was not acting strictly as a time keeper.
Gingrich is a resident of Virginia; Cain is a resident of Georgia.
Go soak you head.
I’m told Gingrich is officially a Virginia resident. In any case, I was wrong. Only Georgia’s electors would have been prevented from voting for both candidates.
From Article Two of the Constitution:
“The Electors shall meet in their respective States, and vote by Ballot for two persons, of whom one at least shall not lie an Inhabitant of the same State with themselves.”
Hammer, meet nail.
You are so right. I sat through the whole thing and do not watch the gotcha ‘debates’. Cain is the big overall idea man, and Newt is the details wonk. It is great to hear them both. :)
Training is certainly one issue for the unemployed. Employer-sponsored training programs, though, won’t work for those who are unemployed due to the economy and not their lack of skills.
Not Gingrich - Cain.
That's not true, though a few oddballs did...most Cain and Newt supporters knew this was going to be a good show no matter how it played...and so did the media which is why they've refused to cover it....
Could Newt have done so...no doubt about that. What this did show was Newt's great restraint and willingness to lift Cain even higher.... and Cain's willingness to trust Newt wouldn't do otherwise. Now that's a team!
It was a perfect event. Absolutely perfect in every respect. Even the ridiculous audio problems were just so authentic, so beyond the grasp of the corrupt MSM insanity. I wish we could have nothing but these kinds of debates for the rest of the primary season. We could drive a steak through the heart of the beast. Sorry for all the hyperbole, but I’m just so happy.
Man I was talking about bama at LSU.
YES...I wish the RNC would get a clue....they are the ones who set up the other debates and Reince Prinz (sp) was bragging about how we were all going to love them when he was here in town a while back.....HE better learn from this!
