Hopefully, this has raised the standards for remaining debates. Will not happen totally different format and no gotcha questions.

Notice that Newt replied “not go hunting” which the last VP did rather than reply with he’d be POTUS. I think that’s their way of telling us the order of the ticket -
Cain/Gingrich 2012!

Some of America gets a taste of the old school. I enjoyed it. (I refuse to think I’m old school, but no parents and a white cap may say otherwise)

Might be...but I have too many reservations about Cain...I’ll eventually get a fix on that but for now am in Newt’s court....But the Caine thing for me is pretty much I’m not convinced he’s ready...and saying others weren’t either does not change the fact our country cannot afford a huge learning curve for a President...
However...interesting that even though in jest Cain mentioning Newt as VP. ...very interesting.

Agree on both counts. He’s one of the “good guys” without a doubt. But he didn’t seem to understand that people weren’t attending and viewing to hear him.

“I dont like Newts computerized information - I am VERY against centralized personal information like that!!!”
On the contrary, newt is talking about making information DECENTRALIZED and available to over the internet to any authorized person for their scrutiny and out of any single burocrat’s control.

Agree. This was intellectually stimulating and a good showcase for both candidates without atrificial time limits that are too short, or everyone jockeying for a soundbite of the night.
We have ideas—the Dems only have ideology.

Love you too. Thank you for this thread. A lot of positive information and what a great debate. I hope that they take a look at this style and decide to have them set up the same way.
To: bgill
I thought the Constitution required the president and vice president to be from different states.

Notice, too, the title of the debate has Cain first. Yes, alphabetical but still interesting with that last comment.
