Republican 2012 presidential candidates Republican 2012 presidential candidates Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich met in a Lincoln-Douglas style debate on current economic and social issues facing the U.S.
Perry has always been for strategic fences, aerial drones and boots on the ground and a number of other high tech surveillance measures.
You got it... it was GREAT!!! Look for the ORCS to attack the Hobbits at full force!
Thanks! I’ll be very disappointed if anyone other than one of these two is our nominee.
I regret that a few posters here have ignored the spirit of the event and taken the opportunity to trash one of the two. Didn’t they notice that Newt and Cain quite studiously avoided just that??
Hank
Why would Cain heap praise on a privatized SS system in CHILE, of all places, instead of a couple states over in Galveston, Texas?
Does he really think Americans are going to jump all over adopting CHILE’s system?
Perry passed the law.
I am happy that yall did too
That makes 6 states that have done it.
And yet this is the 2nd post of mine in this thread that you have replied to, and in neither case did your reply have anything to do with the debate or my comment about the debate. They were both personal attacks.
I let you have your last immature, childish rant in the other thread. Did you really have to pick it up here as well?
Perry isn’t it. Please see that, your a good guy.
Right
Cain is leading the race.
stupid rejoinder.
Yes, posting compliments to oneself is sad and pathetic.
He may not be “IT” but I still have an opinion.
Of course. :^)
Yep. Perry has a plan for tracking illegals, and more importantly, legal immigrants on temporary work programs; they have implemented parts of it already, including a form of secure ID (legal immigrants are allowed to have drivers licences and work permits, but then they overstay their welcome and we can’t track them down, and that’s how we get a lot of illegals).
Perry has made enforcement a big part of his program as Governor — that’s why they have a big bill for the feds for doing the fed’s job incarcerating illegals.
It was humor, not mocking.
“Why would Cain heap praise on a privatized SS system in CHILE, of all places, instead of a couple states over in Galveston, Texas?”
Because it’s been widely watched and it’s a national system unlike the very small special case in Galveston.
Chile adopted their privatized SS system back in the 80s so it’s had a long enough run to see how it will perform.
Well I did not care for it.
Didn’t miss it, just running behind — I commented on your other posting of the same information; short answer is I didn’t accuse anybody of “stealing”, I said it was good for people to recognize good ideas, my point is that Perry is on the right side of many of the issues people said were important, and has a record of accomplishment for many of those issues.
If Rick Perry is the GOP pick I will support him. Thats all
Perry’s not kidding about ‘sledgehammer’ and ‘wrecking ball’.
Perry knows how to get out the angry white guy vote. Angry white guy isn’t going to be motivated by wonky or door-to-door salesmen who haven’t a clue how to command the armed forces or get those decommissioned oil rigs pumping.
We’ll see how the polls go.
