“The expression tikkun olam is used in the Mishnah to indicate that a practice should be followed not because it is required by Biblical law, but because it helps avoid social chaos.”

Does this say your pro abortion stance is non-biblical social engineering?
Or am I misreading it?
Whenever the Israelites absolutely rebelled to the point, where their very existence was questionable, God often resorted to harm reduction.
Example, allowing for divorce or allowing the Israelites to eat certain meats.
The allowance of polygamy, though far from God’s plan for marriage, was also because the Israelites were unwilling, at this time, to change.
Tikkun Olam means “to repair the world”. we are G-d’s partners in making the world a better place for all. Does this register with you?
