Interesting math here. Isn't the total gross domestic product $14.6 billion? How do you tax even $10 trillion out of that?

Obviously a simple typo, as I'm sure you know the GDP for 2010 was $14.6 trillion.

2% of that is $292 billion, and we have a $2 trillion annual budget.

How much is trades daily on the stock markets? There are 1.3 Billion shares traded every day. That works out to 298 Billion a year, figuring in 260 trading days. That is just the NYSE. 13 Billion shares are traded on the NASDAQ per year. That is 311 Billion shares, .01% of that would be 31 Billion shares, times that by the shares worth. You get a HUGE number.
