I don’t think this is a big revelation. Why would Cain sign any settlement agreement? He isn’t releasing anything. It is very rare that the company or person with the claim against it to sign such a document. And, when the company or individual’s attorney signs, it is usually as to “agrees to form and content” or similar nature.
I think Cain is being smeared, but I don’t think this part of the story means anything.
Because he wasn't a party to the settlement. The terms of the settlement has nothing to do with Cain.
LOL, doesn’t mean anything? If he wasn’t even there when the settlement was made, how was he expected to know of it. This clears him of the accusation of “lying” about only being aware of one claim.
Plus, if you can’t see back peddling when it hits you in the face then you need to pay more attention.
I beg to differ. Since he wasn't party to the agreement, he wasn't privy to the contents of the agreement. So this week's whole meme about Cain knew what was in the agreement and, thus, should have been better prepared, goes out the window.
For those of us who have worked with corporate legal and hr departments, this is no surprise. It happened as it normally happens.
There is nothing here. This story is basically dead, though it will lie on the table and twitch for a while.
