I’d tolerate Newt, but I seem to recall a proclivity towered globalism outside of military matters. Confirm or correct, please.

The big question with Newt is, how is he going to survive a debate with a towering intellect like Barak Obama?

I have liked Gingrich ever since I had him as a professor at West Georgia College. His quick mind and vast knowledge made what could have been a boring History course interesting. I think he would make a very good president. Unfortunately I think he has zero chance of winning either the nomination or the general election. He has genuine skeletons in his closet for the media to pummel him with.

Still feel that Newt would make a great President. He knows history of America and firmly believes in the Constitution. He save us once with Contract for America and his new contract is right on. As former Speaker of the House he has the know how to be able to help build legislation that just might rebuild America. King Obama is the enemy within and Newt is doing the right thing by attacking this would be communists dictator.

YES!

Cain is having difficulty managing a crisis he should have been able to deflect early.
It doesn’t get easier in the White House.

Perry is fading fast.

There’s a large hunger for someone more conservative and articulate than Romney.

Newt will mop the floor with Barack in any 1 on 1 debate.

Newt has the potential to be a very good president; therefore, common sense dictates that we should not deny ourselves that potential because he has negatives. But his negatives will be enlarged and dwelled upon endlessly by his enemies in a campaign against the Great Usurper. Alas, IMO, that would be nigh impossible for him, and his campaign organization, to overcome.

Imagine our future and our country’s chance of survival if Romney wins the nomination, then imagine another 4 years of Obama. This country WILL NOT survive.

Supporting and voting for Newt suddenly becomes one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made.

Newt, warts and all, will get my vote.

He is actually quite the sovereigntist, but did support NAFTA and (conditionally) the WTO when it came out. He has since soured on the WTO, and greatly so.

OH MY, how well you stated that. Especially this:

"""Frankly, I'm tired of the purity game. We are not electing a pope or a saint.""""

Have you noticed, the Newt threads are mostly coherent? Not much "trash" talking. I like that.

Been to the CAIN threads and WOW, with all the "BOT" calling. Infants?

I love Herman but I think I’d feel more secure with Newt at the top of the ticket and Cain as VP. I hope they get a chance to run together.

I’m with you. I’m leaning towards Newt, now. He IS the smartest guy on the stage and he’ll make mincemeat out of Obama in the debates. Yeah, he’s got some personal baggage but, as they say, let’s not make the perfect the enemy of the good.

If you think the crap they’re pulling on Cain is bad or what they did to Palin was bad, just imagine if Newt gets the nomination. Obama waxes his behind.

Where have you been?

Newt was the first test case, before Sarah Palin!

The arrogant little Won would be scared to death to face Mr. Speaker in debates.

“The arrogant little Won would be scared to death to face Mr. Speaker in debates.”

That may be true, but that doesn’t equal being afraid to meet him in the general election.

I definitely think Newt can beat Obama. I think Herman can beat Obama. I’d love to see a Gingrich/Cain or a Cain/Grinch Ticket for the GOP in 2012.
