When did we start naming Autumn snowstorms?

First storm of the season, they name them each for each one (fall, winter, spring and summer)

Got power back Thursday, 5 days without a shower.
We have a wood stove, gas stove and a gas grill so other than hot water we made out well.

Drove down town Thursday morning and the first thing I noticed was the haze, never seen it in the twelve years we've lived here.
No breeze at all so it shouldn't come as a surprise with all the smoke coming from the chimneys.

Off note, our dumb ass Governor (based on his statements) wishes he could take over the power company since he thinks they took too long to restore power.
Our legestratere is considering fining them or passing a law on how long it should take to restore power, thank your lucky stars you don't live in Connecticut.
