One of my friends pointed out that a lot of shows start out very benign and family friendly, but in subsequent seasons they push the envelope with gay characters, more sex, etc. She’s right. We enjoyed Warehouse 13, only to find out that it now has an openly gay character, and in fact, has gay writers/producers.
Hmm, another one I didnt know about. In Warehouse 13, does the show at least have the decency not to strcuture almost every important storyline around the openly gay character ? Does it try to look at the gay character from at least an impartial perspective instead of playing up, once again, the narrative of gays as persecuted, helpless victims of an evil, irratioanl Amerifcan culture ? If so, than perhaps it would be possible to get past it, provided the show didnt jump the shark and/or celebrate other kinds of immorality, i.e. betrayal, selfishness, deceit, general promiscuouty, assaults, nonstop.
