Listen to what you just said! "Being right isn't enough in politics" I'm sorry, but I totally disagree. Being right is of the utmost importance to the resurrection of this nation.

What do you disagree with exactly? I didn't say I liked the way it is, just that this is life. Human beings are not going to change and when given a chance to vote for the politicians of there choice, being right on the issues is just not enough.

If being right were all there was too it, we wouldn't have all the problems we do now. You think by bemoaning the fact that people vote on how much they like someone, or whether they'd like to play hoops with a candidate, or whether they identify with them for any number of reasons is going to make things change? The fact remains, being right is not enough in politics. A successful politician is one that knows how to get elected - they lie, manipulate, demagogue, deflect, use clever oratory, distract, paper over anything they know people don't want to hear, etc, etc.

All sorts of terrible leaders get elected precisely because they are charismatic even if they are dead wrong about everything. That is never going to change because human nature is never going to change.

Our job is to find the best conservative in the race who has the political skills to actually win a general election. Cain has a sunny disposition and is a happy warrior, but his campaign is amateur hour and just isn't going to cut it against a professional, polished, 1 billion dollar Obama machine.

I checked out the money Obama has raised...unbelievable! mostly from California, Silicon Valley, hi-tech and liberal states. MASSIVE war chest. The dems have to be laughing as we devour our own and it is almost impossible to question anything about a “certain” candidate on this forum without being attacked. Politics are corrupt and that can’t be denied. We have to pray that Obama loses as he is the worst president in my lifetime.
IF moral or social issues counted Santorum would be way up there...he is NOT my choice but he is ignored.
