And by the way - Mitt can’t even spell “Tea Party” - Why is it that Michelle Bachmann, the founder of the House Tea Party Caucus, is working so closely and intimately with the one candidate and his close advisors that LEAST represent the voice of the Tea Party?

probably because she thinks that given his liberal background, he’s going to have to pick a Tea Party conservative for VP to balance out the ticket, and that it might as well be her.

Define *closely* and *intimately*. What, are you going off of the debate smooch greeting or the softball question Romney threw her in the “ask the candidates” segment of the Bloomberg debate?

As for the smooch, he was the person called to stage just before Michele and greeted her as such. Just like Santorum greeted Ron Paul when Paul came out right after him.

As for the softball question, I’ve been thinking about this more and realize that the Romney people probably told him not to get into a scuffle with the other candidates and to stay above the fray and look Presidential. That means asking Perry, Paul, Santorum, or Huntsman a question was right out. Asking Newt a question might have backfired with Newt embarassing Romney with his superior intellect. And Romney didn’t want to give Herman Cain more time to explain his 9-9-9. So I think Bachmann was the default candidate to throw a softball to.
