First, they are not all young girls. This one was. I believe the other went to an Ivy League school, and the rest I don’t know.

Secondly, she is with her lawyer today working on a public legal statement. I would assume it won’t be long.

Finally, my daughter was RAPED when she was 16, and I went through that time with her and she is a beautiful woman now, and DON’T YOU DARE SAY ANOTHER WORD ABOUT MY DAUGHTER YOU IGNORANT WEASEL. YOU ARE SICK YOU PATHETIC IGNORANT THING MAKING FUN OF A MOTHER WHO HAD TO SEE HER LITTLE GIRL RAPED AND WHO STOOD WITH HER THROUGH ALL THE COURT PROCEEDINGS.

She has overcome that, but people like you in this society are horrible people who don’t deserve to have a family, let alone a daughter who could call you “Dad”.

casinva...

This has turned upside down. Now we have a Republican candidate with allegations against him. We have supporters of his that say it doesn’t matter if they saw pictures of him with a goat.

But those same people had a problem with Bill Clinton and his pecadillos. Clinton’s sex stuff probably doesn’t matter to them now. They’ve EVOLVED. They’ve PROGRESSED.

Oh...who cares what some low-end, low-skilled, bottom-of-the-totem-pole woman says?

Cain is our GUY!

They’re not as special as he is! They don’t make much! They’re all “chicken” to come out and tell their story!

Yeah. Look what happened to Paula Jones, Gennifer Flowers, Monica Lewinsky, Linda Tripp. It worked out great for all of them, didn’t it?

—A MOTHER WHO HAD TO SEE HER LITTLE GIRL RAPED—

Man, I am so sorry you had to see such a thing. Seriously. I don’t know how I could take it if I knew the perp was still alive.

God bless you.

I don’t believe the accusations at this point, but the women who are involved, really it seems more like they’ve been outed, deserve better than they have received on this forum. I too have a family member who was a rape victim, my sister, and she had all sorts of disparaging things said about her by the popular college student’s supporters. They had bullied other victims into silence.

Conservatives should behave better than this.

casinva, I didn’t know about your daughter, I am so sorry. I can’t even imagine what that must have been like for you and your husband to have to go through with your daughter, she is very lucky to have had you there to help her through it.

It doesn’t appear there was any “rape” involved here, but understandable why you would view posts thru those eyes with what happened to your daughter.

I have worked in the hotel rest. business and this behavior is common place between staff and management. Some of it has to do with the age of many young girls who work in this field. They are often looking to be well liked and are not skilled yet in how NOT to send mixed signals...more often than not many are flirtacious so it makes it difficult for the more conservative gals when the majority think nothing of pressing up close to a manager or making other obvious jesters like this.

Too often the gals coming into this work think the laws are made to protect them...when in fact the laws of conduct are there to protect all...and that as well means from gals whose behavior is less than acceptable. They do not take kindly to being corrected, and when done so often make accusations of sexual impropriety as a means of retaliation....so management then hopes the guys overall will just restrain from these encounters.

I am sorry your daughter expereinced this...but parents do need to be aware of the Hotel Rest. climate.

casinva—

There are some extreme misogynist statements being made on Free Republic to defend Herman Cain. From a legal standpoint, we don’t know how far Cain went in his abuse of women. However, anyone who has a daughter (or a few daughters) certainly can relate to the desire to protect our children, even when they are grown, especially barely grown and in their 20s.

Speaking as a father, I know that it is a cruel, tough world out there for young women in their 20s just starting to find their way in the professional world.

This concerns me in that if Herman Cain is guilty of sexual harassment that the people in this country that generally have good moral bearings (like I thought there were on FR) are going to dismiss the Cain transgressions and blame the young ladies instead. We’re supposed to be better than that.

Joe
