These figures will just feed more of the OWS insanity.

“The Grrrrrrreedy 1% keep increasing productivity, and none of it is shared with the workers!”

I guess at some point people have to start replacing cars and washing machines that can no longer be repaired. I know this week I bought a chain saw and generator. I am doing my part!

Exactly, every once in a while you have to leave the bunker to get more peanut butter. Lots of things are in need of replacement.

Wait until they replace their clothes washer with a new top loader and find out that EPA regulations make them incapable of actually getting their clothes clean. If they keep this up the new clothes dryers will be two sticks and a clothes line. All for $1,000.

I had two six year old desk top computers blow up within two weeks of each other...

I’m not buying what I don’t need.

However, to stay in touch with the world and get the real news we bought new desktops.

We will adjust our budget accordingly to compensate for the unexpected expense. Or maybe I could just ask the boss for a raise to cover my problems.

There is a small business which has opened in our area selling reconditioned washers and dryers. And they are doing a booming business.

I think the reason has less to do with price than the fact that the new environmentally friendly models SUCK! And sadly we can’t blame that on Obama (was the work of George W. Bush)

Me too. Today it will be water barrels to store what little rain we get here in San Diego. That water will be used on the vegetable garden and fruit trees we planted this year.

I had a buddy years ago who worked for an applaiance dealer who would get the “throw away” washers. He would haul them to his garage, spend an hour and $10 ion parts and resell them. He was making more money doing that than his real job. Except now his supply chain has dried up... No one is buying new, and he has to spend time repairing them for his boss.
