Was the recent attack on Herman Cains presidential campaign a professional hit job? Absolutely, says Herman Cain. And he says he knows just where to look for the guy who did it: At 815 Slaters Lane in Alexandria, Virginia, a low-slung former warehouse in the shadow of a coal plant.

Cain said himself that he briefed Curt Anderson on the allegations when he ran for a prior office a few years ago.
You think maybe Cain might have connected the Politico piece with that? Or do you think that there may have been more events than just that one - and Cain wasn't sure which one was going to be brought out?
Do you think that maybe he might have been unsure as to how to plan his response because he wasn't sure WHICH allegation was going to come out? Do you think that maybe even more might be out there?
My gosh, Levin is on fire, this $hit about Cain isn’t going to do anything but redound to his benefit. Perry calculated badly and now he’s not even toast, he’s croutons.
Biden is going to get sick next summer and will be replaced on the ticket by Hillary.
That’s one of the options, but in the end it will be the Hildabeast running for the next term ~ not Obama.
If Cain is wrong about this he is finished. But, it won’t help Perry, he’s done no matter what happens with Cain.
Newt and Romney will be the ones to benefit.
Show your evidence or you're just another rumor monger trying to smear yet another GOP candidate.
You’re not the boss of me, (as my granddaughter would say), and I’ll flat out tell ya that you perrybots are worse than anything I’ve seen on this site in 14 years.
I don’t care how long I’ve been here either, ‘cause I’m just getting warmed up, the Cainiacs are going to take you down.
As someone said on a previous thread, “you Perrywinkles have declared war, and you’re going to get it.”
Right out of the Clarence Thomas play book...
Liberals and Progressives (Romney, Perry, etc) are so afraid of an independent successful black man.
Our nation has become a disgrace...
I don’t think that the timeline is totally meaningless. Sure, there probably was something akin to an interview prior to the Perry campaign announcement. On the other hand, it’s very probable, IMO, that Politico had been working on this for a week or so before they approached the Cain people.
Until we have some concrete facts it’s all speculation. Like the fog of war, this is the fog of political war.
I dont hold against how folks voted 20 years ago, peoples politics evolve.
Somehow these unknown gotchas bubble up one by one, and like sharks in a tank the GOP candidates all tear into each other.
The n-rock: Cain jumps on Perry. Today Bachman jumps on Cain.
Obama must be laughing his ass off. He can keep his cool billion dollar warchest. We'll do his bidding for him.
I have not declared war on anyone.
I would like to have a normal, rational debate.
not “the Cainiacs are going to take you down” type stuff.
Fine, if your candidate is Cain, argue your points.
MY impression and experience has been that to say anything in defence of Perry, results in nasty name calling and insults personally. You can go ahead with your war, I will go ahead with reasoned posts and ignore or just point out name calling when I see it.
I have to listen to TGO’s rewinde!
You are so right, OneVike. If someone is being completely honest and look back over their entire life.... there are always incidents or mistakes that someone made that could be twisted to look just awful. As a young adult, did one get tipsy at a party? It could be twisted. Date the wrong person? Drive too fast? Get into a car accident? Get in a physical fight? All of these things could be blown up to look almost monsterous.
You have it right. Just trying to spread manure to smear Speaker Newt, because Herman Cain named Governor Perry’s campaign.
Short of proving that Obama was born in Kenya or proving that Obama was the second gunman on the grassy knoll, Obama will be on the 2012 ticket.
Oh, I think stories like this move quickly to prevent addtional leaks.
Losse lips sink ships and “hit pieces.”
