Was the recent attack on Herman Cains presidential campaign a professional hit job? Absolutely, says Herman Cain. And he says he knows just where to look for the guy who did it: At 815 Slaters Lane in Alexandria, Virginia, a low-slung former warehouse in the shadow of a coal plant.

Agreed. Have we learned nothing from the attack on Clarence Thomas?
There had to be a way to stay and fight. If not, then we end up with what we’ve got now: No Palin and a lot of hope in a man who I’m afraid just can’t cut the mustard.
Anyway, it is ancient history and I won’t argue these points anymore and you can definitely have the last word and I won’t say another thing about it.
I don’t mean to bring it all up, just feeling blue and wishing Sarah was our candidate.
Wrong. It was a Title 7 sexual harassment allegation that resulted in a settlement.
I’m deeply saddened (apologies to Bill Clinton for stealing his phrase) to see the Perry campaign do something like that. Hopefully Perry himself wasn’t in the loop in the decision to do this. Whoever was, ought to be tied to a cactus and horse whipped.
Freep has gone from rational discussions and defences of one’s candidate favorite to sleezy name calling and yes, worshipping slavishly.
You would think this was “Obama mania” of the right...I have my favorites, and I will be open to the vetting and this primary process and see who is the best.Right now I favor Perry and Newt.
I didn't think the claims of sexual harassment would hurt Cain.
I do think the Cain team pointing fingers about the accusations is a big mistake, though.
Herman Cain is not handling this well at all.
Just donated to the Herman Cain again online. I am looking forward to today being an even BIGGER donation day for Cain than yesterday was. I am so sick of this crap. Anyone who does not “get” that this is simply a hit piece to derail his rise in the polls has got to have fallen off the cabbage truck yesterday. Whether it was Perry, Romney, Rove, the driveby media or a combination of the above, it is still WRONG.
Even more than donating money...I am praying for him to continue to be successful in this race despite these ridiculous (and suspiciously timed) attacks. I believe he has a better chance than any of the beltway jerks to get this country back on track.
You have quite the imagination....
OK, and a piddly settlement at that. It means that all concerned knew it was garbage, but the National Restaurant Association did not want to pony up the non-reimbursable funds to prove it was garbage.
Tom Dasshole. ;-)
Hey! Backatcha!
I agree I just don’t think resigning precluded a successful run for the white house. I understand reasonable people can disagree with that.

I agree with this part the most.

How 'bout this...Romney has offered Cain the VP slot to take out Perry over this...a Romney/Cain ticket would likely give Mitt cover for mormonism's racist past. Don't think this hasn't been factored into the plan.
I will say this for Romney...he's on a par with Obama for this nasty campaigning....he did it in '08.
It really IS sad.
“Fact: supported Gore in the primary, did not work for Gore. Gore himself says Perry never worked for him, merely announced support.”
Well then you better go over to Wikipedia and correct the record because it states Perry “chaired the Gore campaign in Texas” That is just a tiny bit more than merely “announced support”.
These kind of Clintonian triangulations do your candidate no favors.
I agree. bttt
That is the point, isn’t it? Which campaign, REPUBLICAN campaign, was to blame. That is the most troubling aspect of this.
I am absolutely disgusted by the way the media and the GOP establishment hacks like Perrywinkle are slandering a good man like Herman Cain by insisting he prove a negative. Truly disgusted. This really shows how low the media/left-wing racists/Grand old potty will stoop.
When is Cain going to provide proof the Perry was involved with leaking the story?
