It also doesn't help when their campaign treasurers try to compete with Solyndra.
Yep, we still lived in OR when it was passed. It was hard to believe there were enough leftists in the state to pass it but they did.
DEFUND socialist collectives, foreign and domestic. Vote out socialists/progressives/RINOS (Republicans Implementing Nuances Of Socialism).
That case was followed last year by Citizens United v Federal Election Commission which opened the way to a surge of campaign spending by corporations, ....Yeah, Citizens United was a STOO-PID™ decision. Saying 'corporations are people', geez how dumb can you get.
After all, what is a 'corporation'? Nothing but a bunch of shareholders who own stock in that corporation. And who are these 'shareholders'? Why they're nothing but a bunch of .... uh .... people.
Hmmm? .... wait a sec?!? ..... Never mind.
;-)
Oregon Sen. Jeff Merkley and six other Democrats charged Tuesday that modern political campaigns - and democracy itself - are threatened by a pair of "awful" Supreme Court decisions... wants to nullify a 1976 ruling that said campaign spending was the same as free speech and a 2010 ruling that removed all limits on campaign spending for special interests, corporations and labor unions.
District Five in Oregon needs to throw out Merkley. He has not done one thing for the people of Oregon.
