I have many Mormon friends. They are all very lovely people and I have never really met a mean one. But, the christ they worship is not exactly the same Christ most people that call themselves Christians worship. IE: Christ lived in America and preached in America. Jesus has his own planet. Jesus is the spirit brother of Satan. Jesus will return to a Mormon temple in Missouri. according to the Mormons.
I think Mormonism is more kooky and funny than some kind of scary thing. You listen to what they believe and kind of wonder how they keep a straight face. The same can be said of islam and other religions. The South Park guys have figured this out too and made fun of Mormonism with their cartoon and have a big Broadway hit with their show “The Book of Mormon”. Here is a fantastic scene from that show:

I can tell any reader of this that without question Romney will be asked a lot of questions about Mormonism. And that those questions by themselves will make many Americans very uncomfortable. Mormonism will be a straw man for Romney in ways he will never see coming.
