love that!
and maybe we can get that horrible MLK rock thrown in the city dump too boot!
The most ironclad case against Mitt Romney
Read it. Know it. Share it. Link it. Its damning.
They should do a recognition poll in the black districts. I’ll bet a substantial portion of the residents there don’t know who Cain is. You are correct is saying Obama will still get the overwhelming share of the black vote in 2012. But Cain would make inroads. I’m guessing twenty percent. Don’t forget that even many Blacks know Obama has been a dismal failure. That won’t prevent most of them from voting for him, but it could switch enough votes to make a difference.
I think whenever white pols start preaching self-reliance to black audiences, they are largely tuned out without consideration. Cain would be different. Here is a black man who made it to the top of the corporate world without relying on government to get him there. He would still get a decided minority of the black vote, but he would probably get enough (20%) to make a difference.
Actually, the date will be Nov. 6. Nov. 2 will be a Friday next year.
Cain supported Clinton/Gore...he will NEVER get my vote. Clinton did a lot of damage and played a role in demoralizing the military...he even wrote a letter in his youth stating he loathed the military. I sat down and cried when Clinton won. Not to mention the two dems that Cain supported in Nebraska...bye Cain.
Rainbow Push Coalition knew him and supported him. He is probably as well known as Obama was among blacks
lol
whatever.
I did not like how Mr Cain waffled on Libya. He should have said straight out that the US had no business supporting the Islamist rebels.
I also did not understand his position on abortion.
I am a Cain supporter but he needs to get his act together. You can’t please everyone. He is the frontrunner now because people don’t trust Romney’s positions of convenience.
I believe you. A Cain presidency threatens a lot of powerful people. They will be slinging a lot more than pizza.
We desperately need to not engage. Herman can answer the questions to a point but he needs to show America that they are actively trying to hold him to a standard Barack doesn’t come close to meeting.
Investigate Donald young before you bring out a girl who might ave been offended years ago. Because Donald young lst his entire life. I don’t even think his mama got a severance.
Cain supported Clinton/Gore.. What year(s)? When doofus Dole ran against him?
Can you imagine how much more easily this would have gone for Cain if he’s just been honest?
“Yes, there were allegations, no there was nothing to them. We settled with them because it was frankly easier than to be dragged through the mud for the rest of eternity. Since then I’ve been careful to have witnesses around at all times, so that such allegations can’t even be made.”
THE NUMBERS ... In the 2008 Presidential Elections - whites made up 76.3% of the record 131 million people who voted in November’s presidential election, while blacks made up 12.1%, Hispanics 7.4% and Asians 2.5%. The white share is the lowest ever, yet is still higher than the 65.8% white share of the total U.S. population... http://pewresearch.org/pubs/1209/racial-ethnic-voters-presidential-election.
Black turn out for obama (in my opinion) will not be as large in 2012 compared to 2008. But it doesn’t matter. The black portion of the overall vote is not big enough to counter what I predict will be the largest White voter turnout in recent history for a Presidential election. The vast majority of energized white voters will be not voting for obama. And remember, 131 million voters turned out in 2008 out of a potential 208 million or so eligible voters. Meaning that 77 million people didn’t vote. The real solution to getting obama defeated in 2012 IS NOT TO PANDER to blacks or Hispanics - but to educated and energize the White voter portion of the 77 million who didn’t vote in 2008 to GET OUT AND VOTE against obama in 2012 - Plain and Simple...
thought it was when Bush 41 ran against him...but Dole or Clinton.. I would take Dole anyday. lame excuse to back Clinton
“Only 3% of blacks like Cain.
That is because they are slow on the uptake. That figure will rise once Cain is actually nominated.”
Sorry, don’t hold your breath waiting for the Black community to come out for Cain in any numbers.....
The black community has still yet to warm up to Clarence Thomas......One our nation’s finest jurists.
Clarence Thomas is Conservative.....
Herman Cain will be equally ignored/villified......
Herman Cain is Conservative........
Being black only counts if you are left of Liberal...... Otherwise you’re nothing but an Uncle Tom........
You are excusing Cain’s vote for Clinton? unbelievable..and NO it was not against Dole ..it was against Bush 43
Lol...didn’t ya hear...a vote for Clinton in 1992 is now “cool”...
You might be right, and I can not argue differently from hard facts in hand.
I am not really looking for large numbers of Black community to come out for Mr Cain. In the primaries the numbers may be very small and in the general election any thing approaching or exceeding 10% will make a difference.
It seems reasonable for 15% to vote for Mr Cain.
My take is that if any switch their vote coupled with those who will not be as excited and stay home, the total black vote for Obama will be significantly diminished
Any way, it will be interesting to see how it unfolds
F U N O V.
NO conservative would have voted for Clinton..ever.
