F & F had the feds letting AZ gun stores sell LOTS of guns to bad guys, lots went to Mexico, one of these guns was used to kill an American border agent. The feds were supposed to “track” the guns and arrest the bad guys....they didn't.

Lots of us think this was done to flood Mexico with guns from America so that the feds could then have “good” reason to put in more gun control laws in the U.S.

The takeaway line is Obama saying to Mrs. Brady (the woman married to Brady who was shot with Reagan years ago and who the Brady gun control law is named for), when she asked Obama what was taking so long with MORE gun control laws...he said: Don't worry, we are working on something under the radar.

In a nutshell: He had Holder set this up to circumvent the 2nd amendment. I'm no smarty pants, but that looks like treason to me. Treason is a pretty nasty charge.

Well, you really should do a search here....What I gave was pretty sketchy info. There is EVERYTHING you need to know about F&F on this site. It's worth the time to read.

With all due deference to Pigsey, it is NOT trivial to "do a search" on F&F, and it is NOT worth the time to read it ALL...if you're new to the whole thing and just want to get a handle on it.

F&F has come out in drip and drabs, and so there are thousands of incremental articles which don't show the forest. There have been very few GOOD noob summaries written...perhaps Mesta has a best of.

Mexican drug cartels hire "Straw Purchasers" to buy guns from licensed dealers in the US.

ATF/FBI had in the past allowed these people to buy, and then immediately nabbed them in a sting--never letting the guns out of their control.

In Gunwalker somebody (up high or down low?) had the bright idea to turn their heads and let the guns keep "walking" to their final destination, where the serial numbers would be verified...but obviously only once they were recovered at crime scenes.

Brian Terry's murder, a federal agent, was one of those crime scenes.

Coincidentally, about the spring of 2009, Hillary Clinton and the rest of the Administration was spreading a myth that 90% of the guns used in mexican drug crime were from legal dealers in the USA....thus providing support for efforts to pass more gun control legislation.

After Congressmen Issa and Senator Grassley started turning stones, they found some whistleblower agents and firearm dealers willing to talk. Then other programs were found outside of Arizona....now the administration is running for the hills claiming they had no idea about any of this, after a failed attempt to blame Bush.
