That video was edited and spliced by an individual.
He was just very relaxed and having fun.
He should have sang them a song.
NO, he was NOT drunk, just overcompensating a bit trying to give a relaxed speech. People need to look at the whole video.
Yes, it is objective. The things that are embarrassing to me is a man caught in a sexual harrassment scandal who can't quite get his facts straight, a man who sits on a couch with Nancy Pelosi doing a global warming commercial for Al Gore, a guy who thinks America deserved 9-11, and a guy who puts his dog in a 700 crate on the top of his car and goes on vacation.
To each his own. Which one is your guy?
I guess the economy, unemployment, immigration, terrorism and the mess in Europe are too boring for the MSM. Instead, lets muck up the waters with these non-issues. It’s an insult to the intelligence of the Republican voter and we are falling for it hook, line and sinker...
It’s subjective, not objective.
I’m for Cain. He’s being pursued by the same people who pursued Clarence Thomas. I’m hanging with him; just as, I assume, you’re hanging with Perry. To each his own candidate.
And Clark Griswold strapping Aunt Edna on top of his car in a rocking chair is CERTAINLY embarrassing, but it sure was funny! LOL
“Did you watch it? What on earth was embarrassing about it?”
Answer: No, she did not. What she watched was the spliced- together short version. Classic media manipulation where a film editor can easily make anybody look bad.
This is as dumb as the Cain harassment meme..
It is sad that to boost your candidate you feel that it is necessary to trash others. It is this kind of behavior that is truly embarrassing. And it is this kind of behavior that will get President Obama a second term.
As always, Essie, your posts to me are unusually incoherent.
Don't even attempt to equate the two situations, they are NOTHING alike and you belittle Justice Thomas by that comparison.
I was Parry supporter before I found out more about Cain. There. I said it. I live in Texas...So I know all about his "warts." Despite all of that, I still support him as my #2, behind Cain. Either one of them to beat Romney.
I said all of that so you all would know where I am coming from: First...NO...he's not drunk. For those who say he is...perhaps your anti-Perry bias is showing and you are, as my dad always said, "hunting boogers."
Now for the other half of you...the Perry supporters: If you can't look at that and say that its a little uncomfortable to watch...then you are showing YOUR bias. Of COURSE its uncomfortable to watch. He's trying to be funny...loose...or something and it's icky. So maybe it's not to you...but trust me...to most NORMAL people out here in the real world...it is...and at the end of the day...there are more of us going to the polls than there are of you.
So while some of you may try REAL HARD to say nothing is wrong with it...you are in the minority and performances like this will not help him. Just like with Cain...is there anything WRONG with your staffer smoking a cig on a commercial? No. Is it HELPFUL to the cause? Certainly not.
How ridiculous to think that because I admire and like Cain I am somehow not differential to Justice Thomas!
As a lifelong Texan, I’ve never heard any rumors at all about Perry having an alcohol problem.
Which reminds me that back in the day when I was in a position to hear more political gossip, it was widely thought that Ann Richards was a lush.
She was very good friends with columnist Molly Ivins and we often joked that they drank breakfast together.
You are so right.
I still wonder about Cain’s intentions regarding Romney. And would he even be an asset to Romney at this point?
Hard to tell. He’s very popular on free republic right now and is winning a lot of polls.
But I still think he’s kind of the ‘vote cute’ candidate that Obama was four years ago. I’m not speaking of the black thing, but of someone outside of the usual political arena, a blank slate upon which desperate people can paint all their hopes and dreams.
I’m very much afraid that if he lets them down, they will be too dispirited to work hard for our nominee.
Time will tell.
I happened to see this on imus while I was changing channels. It seemed to me he was having fun with the crowd. Anyway, it's telling how Fox starts looking to trash Perry the second Cain gets in trouble because he is inconsistent in his explanation. Fox really is in the tank for Romney.
Why are you popping up on this Perry thread to support Cain?
Why do I not believe you were ever a Parry supporter.
Hah!
Because it’s a free, open forum, that’s why.
The local news where I live does a nightly smear story on him. Every weeknight.
