VIDEO: Herman Cain Just Broke Into Song At The National Press Club ["He Looked Beyond my Fault"]

Herman Cain may be the only presidential candidate in history to actually benefit from a sex scandal.

Just hours after Politico broke a story about accusations of sexual harassment against Cain, the former Godfather's Pizza CEO killed it during a luncheon speech at the National Press Club. And then to top it all off, he SANG.

After very little prompting to reprise his "Imagine There's No Pizza" performance at the Omaha Press Club, Cain launched into a surprisingly beautiful rendition of the hymn "He Looked Beyond My Faults" — an interesting choice given the sex scandal.

Herman Cain sings at National Press Club

The tune is "Londonderry Air" or "Danny Boy."

He Looked Beyond My Fault And Saw My Need
as written By Dottie Rambo

""‘Amazing Grace’ shall always be my song of praise
For it was grace that bought my liberty

I do not know just why he came to love me so
He looked beyond my fault and saw my need

I shall forever lift mine eyes to Calvary
To view the cross where Jesus died for me
How marvelous the grace that caught my falling soul
He looked beyond my fault and saw my need""

Americans love an underdog...and Herman is not only an underdog money-wise and organization-wise, he is an outside the beltway non-politician who has earned his place at the table by dint of his business savvy, intellect, and character.

Cheap political attacks on Herman and dirty politics are going to backfire and propel him all the way to the WH.

Herman Cain is a nice fellow, but he has already changed his story a few times on this - this is not good and going to hurt him. I’d say there is more to come out.

It’s starting to look like he is toast.

Maybe, or maybe not. But I for one am supporting him so long as he's in the race.

Limbaugh: Politico Story An “Unconscionable Racially Charged Attack”
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/10/31/limbaugh_politico_story_was_an_unconscionable_racially_charged_attack.html

Rush Limbaugh opines on the Politico article accusing Herman Cain of sexual harassment in the 1990s. Cain responded to the charge earlier today.

Transcript from Limbaugh’s opening monologue:

The Politico and the mainstream media has launched an unconscionable, racially stereotypical attack on an independent, self-reliant conservative black because for him that behavior is not allowed. Now, if we had...

I want to look at a couple things today from a different perspective. What would the left be doing right now if, let’s say, there were an assault on Obama of this nature. Let’s say that some conservative publication ran a story exactly like this: Unnamed sources, 15 years ago, with every detail of Obama sexual harassment. What would the Democrat national committee and what would the media be doing? They would be going after the women. They would be targeting these women, and they would name names, and they would destroy them. That is what the Democrats and the media would do. They would set out to find out who these women are that talked to the conservative publication and they would destroy them.

They would call these women racists for trying to destroy a black politician. They would claim that they’re working for the Republican National Committee. They would claim that these two women (or these women, whoever), had been hired by the Republican National Committee to engage in this smear and lie campaign against Obama. They would go after these women. They would destroy them. They would make the women the bad guys. They would dig into every minor thing in these women’s lives that they have ever done. They would trash them, they would make them prove the unprovable — because this is war, and that’s how they fight it. Anything goes, as far as they’re concerned, and they cannot allow a black or an Hispanic to rise to the top of a political establishment that is not Democrat.

Mark Levin: Politico Is A “Phony Website ... Not News, It’s Leftism”
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/10/31/mark_levin_politico_is_a_phony_website__not_news_its_leftism.html

Mark Levin slams Politico for what he says is a smear against Herman Cain. Levin also goes on to lambaste Kenneth P. Vogel, a writer that contributed to Politico’s story against Cain.

“This guy is a hit man dressed up as a reporter,” Levin said about Vogel. “In fact, this entire political site, Politico, is a phony website that might as well be run by MoveOn.org or the Daily Kos. It’s not news, it’s leftism.”

Later in his program, not included in this clip, Levin says Politico is the “Barack Obama Campaign Website.”

Personally, I don’t care about these allegations which may or may not have occured 20 years ago. I don’t feel it in any way would interfere with his ability to lead the nation as president. At the very least there is NO pattern of this type of behavior, and those closest to him deny that it is in his character to do such a thing. That’s enough for me.

I’m still for him, and it seems, from what I can see on his facebook page, that it’s only strengthening his support.

He went to this podium at the press club on what was probably a tough morning for him. He addressed the crowd professionally and didn’t waver. He ended it with a song.

The man is professional, poised, eloquent, and can give a rousing speech without the use of a teleprompter. I am in agreement with every one of his ideas and plans he has for his presidency.

When I contrast this to a programmed, evil robot of a marxist we have now who is hell-bent on destroying this country and putting us all under slavery to communism. I know who I’m choosing.

I for one have never, and will never, judge a polititian by where he puts his pee-pee or what he does to placate it. The biggest non issue in the campaign. If someone can return this to a constitutional republic, they can have threesomes with the Secretary of Defense for all I care.

The problem is not the allegations - it’s the way he’s responding. Once again, he is saying one thing & then goes somewhere else and adds to the story. First he says he didn’t know the women were paid - THEN - he says one woman was paid a couple of months salary “as a severance”. Now, he is trying to parse his words by saying there is a difference between “settlement” and “severance”. Why didn’t he say that the first time out?

His story is changing by the day - he is showing that he is not ready for the presidency.

He is a nice guy, I like him - but he doesn’t have the experience that our next leader is going to need.

My thoughts exactly. I think many Americans are weary of the whole sex and politics schtick and it really matters so little. In the end, whomever has the stones to fix this mess is who we need.

I think there are many legal nuances and dealings in these sort of allegations against corporate heads that go on every single day. Cain may have had a hard time remembering it and said so, and then, once having to be reminded of the details of the case by some lawyer, then later tried to clarify his side.

I do agree Cain is making blunders as far as getting out clarifying statements ...but he’s learning on the campaign and has a long time to go to better refine that particular ability.

Still would rather see an honest person who blunders occasionally in the WH vs. a shadow marxist who hates 50% of Americans, and believes the other 50% are merely useful tools for his own advancement.

Hi LibsRJerks, you said, “Still would rather see an honest person who blunders occasionally in the WH vs. a shadow marxist who hates 50% of Americans, and believes the other 50% are merely useful tools for his own advancement.”

We second that statement!
