Yes, in TX we can get a CHL if we have a clean record. I've had mine for many years.

I still resent it, though, in some ways.

Which other part of the Bill of Rights does one have to jump through hoops to be able to exercise that right?

Suzanna Gratia Hupp said it best, IMO: Arrest and prosecute the criminals, and leave the law-abiding alone!

I was only pointing out that it’s pretty easy here in Tx, as compared to places like NY.

Heck, I think guys that live in single wides should be able to get them if they aren’t criminals.
The State of Texas agrees.

If I recall correctly Ms Hupp was the gal that lost her parents at the Lubys Massacre?

She left her gun in the car due to Lubys having firearms posted as off limits.

Guns are also illegal in churches here, but I know of some that do baptismals while wearing a glock.
