It depends.

If he was explaining why something was WRONG in the koran, or if he was comparing the bible’s position on something in the koran, or if he was doing some kind of study showing for example how the Bible shows how things progressed from beingunder the Law to being under Grace, but in the koran it starts out peaceful but quickly turns violent towards others,

these kinds of things I’d have no problem with.

If he started to use it in terms of it being God’s word, or using part of it to teach a lesson, I’d be gone.

The only time that book should ever be referenced is to explain why it’s wrong, evil and/or the reason why we must realize we are in a real and spiritual war.

Anyone here hear any quran in church or synagogue on Sunday or Saturday? Sounds like WCC stuff. Otherwise it seems made-up.

I would walk out, then get the elders together to have the preacher thrown out of OUR church. It isn’t the preacher’s church, it’s our church.
If the elders were too gutless to do anything(ain’t gonna happen), I’d go to the state overseer. If he did nothing, I’d go to national, and if the generl overseer did nothing, I’d leave that outfit, and shake the dust from my feet as I did so.

How would you feel if your pastor stood in the pulpit this past Sunday opened what you believed to be his Bible and then started to read passages completely unfamiliar to you. Then in the midst of the reading you hear him say Allah instead of God and you realize he is reading not from his Bible, but from the Quran. How would you feel and what would you do?

I would run, not walk, to the door, leave and never return.

Somehow I know that they wouldn't like the parts of the Quran I would read from - or the commentary that would accompany it.

HEADLINE: "Christian" Churches Read Quran from Pulpits across America

There. I fixed it.

These aren't Christian churches. They are apostate shadows of what used to be Christian churches.

Jesus would not share his Bride with the Devil. It is wicked men who have crept in to do it.

What exactly was the context to which it was read?

If they want to compare and contrast scripture as a learning experience so what?

If they want to read as if it’s christian belief, then yes that’s going against the church.

But you make no mention on the context to which it was used. Leaving it as “quran read in church” is almost cruel, as you are putting half the fact up in a statement which people would be thinking the worst.

So do you know what was read? in what manner was it conveyed?
