Actually I saw Mr. Cain’s speech at the National Press Club today and he did an excellent job explaining. The main reason he lacks details is he “recused himself” from the investigation and allowed the corporate attorney and HR handle the situation.

Willard owned Dominoes for a period of time. They lost profitability and were unloaded at a big loss to Bain.

Cain did much better than that in the same game.

I wouldn’t care if it was against Romney,
I wouldn’t care if it was against Perry,
and I most certainly don’t care if it’s against Cain.

Things like sexual harassment charges during political campaigns are useless exercises and should be summarily ignored.

Havn’t we learned ANYTHING from the 1990s when these charges could be thrown at anyone for anything and destroy lives with no concrete evidence?

And as far as wondering “Has Cain ever made people uncomfortable in the workplace with his manner, speech, or gestures?” By the time you are his age, having been “boss” for so long how could you not? And beyond that, who cares?

Does this allegation really, to any of you, cast a shadow or cause major doubts as to his character or core belief system?

It should just scream “Look how scared the media is of him.”

We can’t even impeach Obama or get real media wall-to-wall coverage over Solyndra, Fast and Furious, Libya, the endless bailouts that drive us into crushing debt...

But we are having a news cycle over some weak allegations of how Cain may or may not have made a few employees “uncomfortable” and probably not even in a sexual manner?

Yeah, we aren’t being played by the media or anything /sarcasm

Years ago, I subscribed to NR. Around the time of William F. Buckley’s death, I noticed a profound change in the publication and allowed my subscription to lapse. But THIS is truly heinous.

I practice employment law and deal with the real world, unlike Mr. Williamson.

Garbage claims get settled ALL OF THE TIME because they are easier to settle and less distracting and personally destructive than to litigate them.

Bush CEO’s don’t always inquire into all the details of settlement. Cain had better things to do with his team than find out what some garbage claim was settled for.

Yes it is time for the the conservative media to investigate
Obama’s acquaintance with the case of the two deceased parishioners of Rev. Wright’s church who were openly gay and were murdered execution style within 40 days of each other and were according to Sinclair was friendly with Obama. Also a third parishioner, (choir director) Donald Young also killed execution style, said that Obama and he were “intimate” with each other according to Larry Sinclair. Sinclair says on two seperate occasions in Nov 99, he engaged in sexual acts with Obama and they smoked crack cocaine in a limo and at a hotel in Gurnee, Ill.

“I’m just going to go ahead and state the obvious: This has Mitten’s finger-prints all over it. He feels he is the next in line and this uppity black guy (who wouldn’t have had ANY position in Mitt’s church prior to 1978) needs to be taken down. MItt, you’re a racist, just like your “church”.

Screw you, Mitt”

The source of this allegation is most likely the Democrats or their MSM allies. Among Republicans, however, Perry (not Romney) would have the most to gain from a Cain flame-out.

Is there any doubt that this is an orchestrated attempt to remove Cain from the presidential equation by the liberals in the republican party?

OK, everyone’s jumping on the National Review, but here’s another post on their Corner blog that takes a completely different view “The Politico Story Tells Us Nothing of Value About Herman Cain”: http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/281750/ipoliticoi-story-tells-us-nothing-value-about-herman-cain-david-french

"If this story has legs, better now than after Cain wins the nomination (in my opinion)."

This story has no legs. National Review however, is eager to fit it with prostheses...

You should change your handle then if you’re “all for Romney”.

If it was a nuisance suit, lawyers often recommend settlement for 5 to 10K to avoid the cost of defense. It is very possible that the lawyers didn’t bother to tell him the outcome if it was a nuisance suit because the plan was to settle.

A second part of the settlement is often a nondisclosure agreement which Cain may intend to honor and could be negated for the other parties if Cain does mention anything public.

That’s what it sounded like to me. They were asked to leave after it was proven that their allegations were false. So on the way out of the door they got severance packages.

Here's the good news. If this is all they've got - Cain is in pretty good shape indeed.

And hopefully one that isn't in the bag for another candidate already. I wish Rush, Levin, Beck or Malkin would take this on.

when you cannot win on the issues all you have left is sleaze and rumor

It has taken the socialist swill years of planning and behind the scenes cheating and manipulation to dumb down our schools to the point where many of today's voters will believe anything the liberal rags print. I'd bet Mr. Cain has an attorney filling out papers to file a defamation suit before days end. Mr. Williamson and his bosses may well be in a soup line before this is over. Typical though, it plays as more diversion from the disastrous Obozo.
