Herman Cain Chief of Staff Mark Block tells NBC's Chuck Todd that the anonymously sourced article by Politico claiming the presidential candidate sexually harassed former employees is "questionable at best."
Mark Block on MSNBC's "Daily Rundown" this morning: "Let me tell you that Herman Cain has never sexually harassed anybody, period. End of story. The only people who spoke publicly about the story in that article are the ones that were in the best position to know.
"They were the Chair, Vice Chair and immediate past chair of the National Restaurant Association during Herman Cain's tenure. Yet all three -- and all three said that he was a man of total integrity. Every negative word and accusation in the article is sourced to a series of unnamed or anonymous sources, and this is questionable at best. I am not personally aware of any cash settlement relating to sexual harassment charges to Mr. Cain."

If the National Restaurant Association paid off these women instead of fighting the allegations just to make them and the charge go away, it didn’t work.
But has he covered "solyndra" in the last month...nah..
An assertion does not prove the fact. Politico has made the assertion. Let them prove the fact.
paid off these women instead of fighting the allegations
Oh yes, Chris Mathew’s both legs are now tingling non-stop.
How many times does Cain’s campaign manager have to tell this guy; Cain has never done this?
And Martin Bashir and Larry O’Donnell are positive orgasmic..
ABSOLUTE TRASH
Fox News has been talking about this all morning. They need to either investigate the situation until they find the truth or forget about it and don’t fall into the trap of the other media.
Second, the "ladies" got a five figure payout.... OH PLEASE..... six months of severance can add up to this....
This is one of those settlements that we are not going to fire you, but here is a severance package, now go away....
Cain, unfortunately, needs to release the details, or force the Association to. He’s in this “won’t deny.” loop.

I would think that if the ladies exist they have violated their end of the agreement and it no longer applies.
Scuzzy as it is, his opponents have cornered him into having to air it all out or get further damaged.
Cain has the Demonicrats scared and or Rino Rommney. I wonder which one it is?
One thing we know for sure, those women are racist!
Or Ron Paul....remember the ad in Texas advertising for women who slept with Perry put out by the RP campaign...this is right up his alley.
I asked on another thread, would it be usual, or unusual, for someone in Cain’s position to not know that his accusers were paid off?
Heres Michael Harlin of the American Thinkers take:
1) Herman Cain is accused of sexually harrassing two women, though no direct nor specific accusations are made, nor are facts presented to support it.
2) The nature of this harrassment ( if it did occur ) is unknown.
3) There apparently was a settlement in the 1990s under terms of non-disclosure when he was the CEO of the National Restaurant Association; meaning, no one gets to talk about the settlement, including Mr. Cain, nor the alleged victims, nor the attorneys.
4) So then, how does one defend himself after making a confidential settlement? Answer: you cant under these circumstances. And thats why this is a when did you stop beating your wife? scenario. Theres no way to win and the implication is inherently prejudicial to Cain.
Attorneys settle cases all the time under confidential terms. The point is of settlement, instead of taking the risks of litigation which is as certain as a crap game no matter how innocent you are, a reasonable party will pay to make it go away.
Does this mean culpability? Of course not! It means that instead of paying attorneys buckets of money to defend spurious claims, you pay to settle. It is the cost of living in this litigious world. And settlements of this type are routine in this country and are happening every day.
I don't think anybody cares if Mark Block was "personally aware" of "cash settlements" relating to "sexual harrassment charges". Although the clarifications may raise questions about whether he is aware of non-cash settlements, or of settlements of other types of harrassment charges.
But what people might care about is whether Cain was aware of settlements. Or worse, that he wasn't aware of settlements, given they were about him, and you would think would have included him in non-disclosure agreements.
Unless they made up the part about settlements, of the three men who Block cites, you'd expect at least ONE of them would have known about the settlements, but they apparently didn't mention the settlements.
One might also wonder how, with a 10-day notice, knowing they were being asked about settlements, Cain couldn't find out that there were settlements, and would have to admit he knew anything about them.
