I remain neutral over whether it is "good" or "bad" to have this election during the primary. The amendment sponsors were pushed into it because of the predictable Democratic accusations of trying to inject a "wedge issue" into the general election. But I think it will be a boon to the success of the amendment. Republicans are mostly in favor of conserving real marriage, so the primary electorate will be ready made for overwhelming passage.
I pretty much agree with that, it makes sense. I was just thinking if folks come out to oppose pres. O , they might also look at the amendment and say “yeah, I don’t dig that gay stuff either.”
