Mona Simpson, an author and biological sister of Steve Jobs, said her brothers final words were Oh wow. Oh wow. Oh wow, in an Oct. 16 eulogy she delivered that was published Sunday in The New York Times.
Simpson remembered the man she first learned about when she was 25, living in New York and working at a small literary magazine. A lawyer had informed her that she had a rich and famous long-lost brother.

YIKES.
I’m amazed at this whole Steve Jobs “national eulogy.”
After JFK died, people wouldn’t shut up about it, but he was dramatically assassinated, and he was the President.
After pope XYZ died, or Mother Teresa, people (and the media) didn’t rattle on for weeks, doing tributes to them.
It’s stunning that Jobs, a man who marketed electronic devices, gets more reverent treatment than dead popes and (non-JFK) Presidents.
Maybe, just maybe, we’re not done with Capitalism yet.
It was either that or toucan stubs.
You know, things that everybody needs.
I don’t recall the very last words when my old man died. But only an hour before he reminded us that “I’ve always said - the best day of my life will be the day I die, and wear my grown of glory.” (Said in a strong, clear voice).
My trembling and weak voice replied “Well, it’s sure going to be a drag for the rest of us.”
The one thing my dad was looking forward to was having all of his life’s questions answered. Perhaps that is what Jobs was beginning to realize. Or perhaps like me, if I were to die right now, I would be going “Oh wow, Oh wow... I can’t believe this is happening to me. I thought I was going to live for SOOOO much longer.”
My old mentor’s last words were “Beer, I see beer”. Seriously!
To be in the presence of infinite perfection is more than human minds can grasp.
Oh wow - he was perfectly focus-grouped hip to the end.
Is that insanely great, or what?
I think that’s it.
Oh, wow, oh wow, this Windows 8 is so great!
I wouldn't read too much into the Oh Wow’s. Had he said “Oh Bama”, it would have only reinforced my opinion that Obama supporters aren't very Lucid no matter the circumstances.
Steve Jobs, another Liberal that wasn't saved by Obamacare.
18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world Gods invisible qualitieshis eternal power and divine naturehave been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
“Rosebud”?
Phl 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Phl 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
Phl 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;
Phl 2:11 And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
ugh, no wonder fundamentalists are all miserable. "
For those of us who willingly confess that Jesus Christ is our Lord now, it will be a happy day when Phl 2:10 is full filled. However, the miserable ones will be those who are forced to bow & confess on that day.
The age old question of the meaning of life was finally revealed to him.
Reminded me too of that plus Dave Bowman’s final words in 2001 - “oh my God, it’s full of stars!”
