NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) Saturdays snow storm made life in Zuccotti Park miserable for Occupy Wall Street protesters.
Demonstrators were left drenched with rain and then snow as the storm moved through the region. Central Park set a record for both the date and the month of October with 2.9 inches of snow.
Those camping out in the park have been stockpiling donated blankets, scarves, coats and have been trying to get more tents, cots and tarps.

A 7% cut for co-opting a movement into tax-exempt status, who are against capitalism.
I think they can last a very long if the local city governments don’t get sick of them stinking up their public places and hurting their local economy. I say this because most of these sites have a bunch of empty tents where only a few people make a showing of being there full-time. Most go home at night to their parents’ basements to smoke a bong, watch “The Daily Show”, and complain about why society owes them a 6 figure salary.
I am happy the weather is making it rough for them. These spoiled ingrates have no heart so less of them will show up for these events in the future.
They have the right to protest, but they do not have the right to occupy areas for days at a time.
They HAVE the money...instead they choose to BEG/ASK for money which is separate from their own funds.
Unbelievable. Seriously, I wished these effing losers freeze on the spot. They need more art statues in the city, right?
Yeah, lol. Funny stuff. And like you said, not much sympathy at all. Heh heh.
October 1917 was colder. Wimps!
Shhhh, don't tell these unemployed hippie whining malcontents that these items are made by corporations. You'll spoil it for them.
Freeze baby freeze. LOL!!!
“I wonder how long they’ll last...”
Hmm . . . tomorrow’s Halloween - maybe they’ll gather around the dying embers of a campfire while somebody tells the tale of the Donner party many years ago . . .
Build a fence around the place to keep them in. Chances are the crime rates in other parts of the city have dropped off dramatically since this fiasco started.
Supporter : hold firm,, huddle together in groups and shout give us back our electricity, block the roads and demand the return of the generators,,the world has heard the message, the corrupt money based upon a screw and optimize has harmed billions of lifes and needs to end.
Reply : Best solution is to light one of the protesters on fire, it should keep the rest of them warm for about an 1/2 maybe longer if they layered their clothing.
Too funny. ROFL
If they want it badly enough, they’ll stick it out. If they don’t, they’re just parlor pinks and sunshine Socialists.
With a half a million in the bank, why are they asking for dontated cots and dry clothes? Why not, -gasp- PAY for them!
Because that money needs to go to Zero's re-election slush fund.
please God, send another blizzard.
Well, they do claim to be members of the majority, which does make them bolsheviks, rather than mensheviks (at least in their own minds, if one goes by the literal definitions of the terms).
"wonder if any of them realize the irony.
this is the world they'd be living in if they could get rid of Capitalism.
The one guy who posts them is probably taking a nap.
The only 99% they represent are 99% of George Soros funded operations...
Or the cold weather drained his iPhone so the loser would have to abandon ship to recharge it so he can go rant on twitter and other websites saying how they are braving the cold just like Valley Forge. I really would like to slap the brat who came up with that analogy.
