An E-Cat Antidote
E-Cat News "Noble Aspirations Are Not Enough" ^

Despite the wild enthusiasm and breathless claims not everyone who has been up close to the e-cat are converted to believers.
Critic Steven Krivit has an article from his blog on E-Cat News and gives his perspective and some insights not posted otherwise. It is worth the time to read. If Rossi has a genuine success it won't suffer if supporters consider real criticisms objectively.

Are Krivit's criticisms valid? Given the descriptions of the demonstrations and the hyperbole by the supporters a bit of antidote is refreshing.

I hope that E-Cat is not a fraud, but the way that it has been handled is suspicious.

I was just about to correct that. Just go to www.ecatnews.net/ and find the article, “Noble Aspirations Are Not Enough.”
You beat me to it!

Oops, sorry!
This is the link he was pointing to.
The previous link was a list of some of the suspicious aspects to Rossi and his E-Cat device. It's worth a look as well.

Ah! Since you left off the .net, I assumed it was .com and couldn’t find the article.

I’m missing something in the report linked from this page:
http://coldfusion3.com/blog/october-28-e-cat-test-reportedly-successful
on the Oct. 28 test results. On page 2 it says the reactor consumed 66 kWh and produced (by calculation of heating) 2,635 kWH — yet the report gives the ratio of Energy Produced/Consumed at 2635:0. And, on the webpage where the report is linked, they talk of 479 kW.
I want to be fair, but Rossi needs a publicist who can at least get the numbers straight and report consistently when they do have something to say. Otherwise even those who are objective will start to question what is being given out.

I don’t know about the smaller experiments but this 1e6 Joule/sec (misleadingly called megawatt) demo looks like an e-Dog to me. It put out half of what it was supposed to, an amount that looked a lot like the capacity of the generator attached to it, and if anyone was following the actual electrical power input to that e-Cat clowder I didn’t notice it. Maybe herds of e-Cats don’t cooperate well???

I certainly wouldn't write a check for what was demo’d unless it was just a means of making a contribution to the cause or venture money.
If “The Customer” is going to pack the container up and ship to an undisclosed location I wonder what Rossi will be doing. In today's industrial world a million dollars or euros doesn't go very far.

That’s all part of the genius of the “affaire’ de e-cat”, you can choose your figures.

I love’em all! I've been looking at similar inventions on the internet. The ones with clusters of capacitors providing anti-gravity or reverse to the earth magnetic polarity are my favorite. I can hardly see the suspension wires in the videos.

To answer your question, the demo a few days ago seemd like a scam to me. But it’s hard to discuss such things with ringers trying to shut down any reasoned skepticism — For example, of course we can’t prove it’s a scam. Rather hard to do that when no one is allowed to examine the machinery.

You mean they get all fired up? I’ve heard of that.
