Smart move to minimize time with the Beltway Media Elite who are just out for “gotcha sound bites” and go directly to the voting public.

I think it's a bold move also and rather unconventional, which I like. It's interesting how very differently Perry's similar strategy (fewer conventional debates) has been received.

Romney won't be able to copy-cat this move because he needs the conventional debate limelight to sell his shtick.

I don’t think Cain is gonna skip any debates, he’s just not gonna waste time on shows like Piers Moron. No conservatives watch those Liberal Talk shows anyhow.
