Cain had almost no name recognition when he entered the race. Of course, he had to run like crazy, do every interview he was offered, make every speech he was asked to make and so on.If Fred Thompson had put in the kind of effort in 2008 that Cain is putting in today, I don't think Obama would be in office today.

Good point.
I think Cain has worked his butt off. Look at the number of speeches and interviews that are out there, and still going strong on viewership on the internet.
