1) I’m a Newt supporter. 2) Its tiresome to see republicans/conservatives calling names in an attempt to bully them into seeing a candidate their way. 3) Cain has said things he has had to walk back.

Last time:
“Cutting back” does not equal “avoiding the public.”
That is all.

And the article was wrong, as the quote was “I am NOT going to dial back.”, as shown on several other articles.
Politico is garbage.

Killing energy kills our countrys economy. Sure does, but that doesnt mean Perry should get credit for saving the Texas economy., It does not matter who the Governor was, it matters more on who controls the EPA.

“So in other words, lets hide the candidate to keep him from tripping all over his tongue. Again.”
Sounds like advice to Perry,,,but it’s too late.

You’re really going to attack Cain’s misstatements after Perry went from 30% to 7% after people heard him stammer to express himself.
LOL.

the biggest problem with the whole line of reasoning is that to the extent that he has made missteps, they arent hurting him. You are correct. Now, if any of the others took all sides of an issue, it would be hurting them, as it would be recognized as a serious character flaw rather than a misstep or mistake.

But Cain is lying to someone because the continues to change his positions on important issues.
To: Conservativegreatgrandma
A misstatement is hardly a lie...in fact, lies from politicians is why the outsider businessman is winning in Iowa and Nationally.

Please understand that Cain is not making misstatements--he is deliberately telling one group one thing about his positions and when he is addressing others, he changes his positions. This is much different from making a misstatement. I will provide videos and quote if you want but they have been posted many times.
Cain is not to be trusted--he is deliberately misleading groups.

Cutting back does not equal avoiding the public. Sure it doesn't.

Yes, and “cutting back” on calories automatically equals “starving.”
More black-and-white, all-or-nothing thinking.
Did you know there’s a name for that in psychology?
Anyway. Suit yourself and whatever floats your boat!
BYE.

Wow, that wiley person avoiding the public showed up on
CBS' Face the Nation TODAY.
What a great way to avoid the public!
Astounding!
Oh, and there are even more links to speeches and events showing how old we-can't-remember-his-name-he's-so-deep-in-hiding is "avoiding the public." But whatever.

"As to my political policy view on abortion, I am 100% pro-life. End of story."
"I will appoint judges who understand the original intent of the Constitution. Judges who are committed to the rule of law know that the Constitution contains no right to take the life of unborn children."
"I will oppose government funding of abortion. I will veto any legislation that contains funds for Planned Parenthood. I will do everything that a President can do, consistent with his constitutional role, to advance the culture of life."

What if dialing it back just means focusing more on IA and SC rather than the 50 state solution. He can do it, but just not as much. This is bs.
To: linn37
Right, like Newt and Pelosi on a couch...
