KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) -- NATO says the 13 people killed when a suicide bomber rammed a military convoy in Kabul included five coalition troops and eight civilian contractors.
NATO initially reported that all 13 killed were service members. But after further identification, it confirmed that eight were civilians working for the coalition.
A U.S. official says all were Americans, but Canadian defense spokesperson Lt. Col. Christian Lemay told The Associated Press that a Canadian soldier was among the troopers killed. Canadian military officials have not yet released the soldier's identity or further details.
The Taliban suicide bomber hit an armored NATO bus Saturday in the deadliest attack on coalition forces in Kabul since the war began.

I’m sure you can point out exactly where I said that.
I can tell I’m talking to a complete idiot. You can’t follow basic logic. You can’t follow the flow of a conversation. You invent words and meanings that aren’t there. You spend 250 words when 25 will do. You seem to have a massive inferiority complex, particularly when it comes to the military. Not once have you acknowledged the reason for my original post that you responded to. You seem to think “debate” means “who can scream the loudest.”
And now you’re sending me stalker FReepmail. I’ve run into some clowns on here before, but you take the cake.
Ooooh. I’m stealing that rant. Beautiful thing. Really nice.
When I get going people accuse me of being on drugs, being a pinko, stupid, having abject ignorance yad-yada. But it’s water off a duck.
I got a lot of anger in me.
Just a suggestion? Remove some of the F-bombs? And repost. A rant like this needs to be SEEN.
Yeah, I was considering editing it and posting. I’m certainly never going to delete it from my FReepmail. It’s only my second or so Stalker Message.
Wow. You really are riled up, and I don’t blame you. You, me, and many others are starting to raise legitimate questions on the conduct of this “war”. It is a “war” because it has been, and continues to be, and ‘endless’ operation and not a specific and decisive combat mission with a “get in and get out” purpose. Heck WWII was not even fought as an “endless” operation in that it had a specific and clear objective: the obliteration of the Nazi war machine, and complete and unconditional surrender of the Nazi regime - but with a method of “total war” where we purposefully bombed civilian populations (Dresden, Hamburg, Hiroshima, Nagasaki) to achieve those ends, due in major part to the relentlessness of the enemy to refuse to surrender unconditionally.
