Please. As someone who lived through every pregnancy with toxemia and gestational diabetes, if you NEED to eat, you NEED to carry a snack.
She was pregnant, not dying. Please don’t make pregnancy out to be the status of victimhood. I’m not saying she needed to be taken to jail but pregnancy is not something to be used as an excuse.

I’ve had four children, and with two of them, I became nauseous during the first trimester if I didn’t keep my blood sugar up (with the first one, I just threw up daily for about 3 months, LOL). That meant I kept small snacks—crackers, hard candy, etc. on me at all times.
Pregnant women can be criminals, too. It doesn’t give them saint status.
