Seires is tied up 3-3, this is it!
Matt Harrison (LH) v C Carpenter (RH)
I meant to Ping you to post #501.
If the cards win, there will be riots in the streets.
I must have missed all of the riot stories. Post 'em, or eat your words.
lol
Poster must be geographically challenged; was thinking of Detroit ... :O
Looks pretty good.
One of my friends here in Indy is a huge Cards fan, and actually has season tickets.
Zips back and forth in a VW diesel car, about 4 hrs each way.
His take was that the Cards were “playing with house money” due to the likelihood in August that they weren’t even in the playoffs, and were loose and ready to win.
Cardinals beat the Rangers ..so who stinks? Rangers need to get rid of that sunflower seed sucking Washington who made some dumb decisions. WTG CARDS...WINNERS OF 11 WORLD SERIES AND 18 NATIONAL LEAGUE PENANTS...great ball players have played for the Cards including Stan the man Museal, Dizzy and Daffy Dean, Lou Brock, Ozzie “the wiz” Smith and Whitey Herzog. Cardinals have charisma and talent...even the clydesdales..lol. Love that Pujols went with La Russa to the Glen Beck Rally in DC AND the Cards are helping to rebuild in Joplin aiding the tornado victims. RANGERS not even in CARDiacK Kids class. Too bad your team lost again..always a bridesmaid and never the bride. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY CARDS
Pujols was HIT by the Rangers pitcher and took a base and deliberately walked by the R pitcher ....Rangers looked like bumbling fools
Perhaps Pujols will give STL a home town discount. I would suspect that its more likely than unlikely he stays in STL.
The National League rules were a decisive factor in the fifth inning of game 6.
The National League rules cost Garcia a complete game shutout in game two. That sword cuts both ways
They should go back to 154 games, no interleague play and no divisions, the best two teams in each league go right to the World Series just like it used to be.
Except for the 154 games part I agree. Go back to 1968 rules. Raise the mound and all
They’re the St. Louis Cardinals. That still means something.
Without Young, do the Rangers make the playoffs?
After 1996 the Cards threw Mabry under the bus, which brought McGwire but no World Series. 1996 is the year LaRussa was outmanaged by Bobby Cox in the playoffs, IIRC.
Young is probably in the wrong lineup spot, better for 3 or 5.
