SAN DIEGO -- San Diego police arrested 51 people as officers cleared out economic demonstrators who occupied the Civic Center Plaza and Children's Park for three weeks.
Dozens of police officers and San Diego County sheriff's deputies descended on the encampment around 2:30 a.m. Friday, declared an unlawful assembly and removed tents, canopies, tables and other furniture.
Police say there had been numerous complaints about unsanitary conditions created by human and animal feces, urination, drug use and littering, as well as damage to city property. Police say demonstrators may return - without tents and other belongings - after the cleanup is finished.

Finally!
“Police say demonstrators may return - without tents and other belongings - after the cleanup is finished.”
As if they’d stop crapping, peeing, and letting their dogs do the same just because they didn’t have tents. If they damaged city property, they should lock them up and not let them come back. What a worthless bunch.
Good start. I hope other cities follow suit and this ridiculous attempt at fomenting revolution falls flat on its face.
Great news and about time too.
I like the way that the cops swooped in at 2:30 am and disturbed the scum’s beauty rest. Stay classy San Diego!
I’ve been wondering when this was going to happen... sick of listening to them get attention on the news.
Unfortunately, I heard KFI in LA will be giving Occupy LA about 2 - 3 hours of air time on Saturday.... UGH!!! Never saw that for the Tea Party!
This is good but it would seem reasonable that they should be required to clean up their mess or be fined the cleanup fee. Even for the left leaning citizens that would seem to be in line.
I cant believe they [ KFi ] have flipped to give air time to these children!
Sad day for KFI.
Glad they are getting kicked out...Maybe city governments learned something from the 60’s where the order was for the police to just stand by...
And bites Soros and Obama in the butt.
The Occupy LA people think they own the spot in front of City Hall. Sorry folks, that spot belongs to all the people and has been the site of all kinds of protests over the decades. Nobody should be allowed to camp out there like their protest is the only one that matters. They need to allow other protest groups to use it as well as to let the public enjoy unfettered access at times as well.
LOL
