Public support for the new healthcare law dropped significantly in October, a new survey shows, dealing a blow to the Obama administration as Republican presidential candidates keep up their pledges to repeal the president’s signature domestic legislative achievement.
More than half of Americans now view the law unfavorably, according to a tracking poll by the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation.
And just 34% of Americans view the law favorably, the lowest level of support since the president signed the law in March 2010.
Much of the decline appears to have been driven by faltering support among Democrats, just 52% of whom said they view the law favorably, down from 65% a month earlier.
Support among independents dropped from 36% to 32%. And support from Republicans fell from 14% to 11%.
The decline in public dissatisfaction marks a shift from previous Kaiser tracking polls over the last year, which have generally shown the public nearly evenly split on the sweeping new law.

They are serving at the pleasure of the sane remnants of the American people, not as indentured servants to a Big Gubamint out of control.
The Elites have already passed it and don’t much care about public opinion anymore. They know Mitt Romney will never go along with a repeal. It will die in the SCOTUS or else we’re scrooooood.
They REALLY avoid giving the aggregate figures here. Even if you believe that 50% of the people are Democrats and the rest are evenly divided between Pubs and Inds, the figure you get for support is only 37%. If you assume 33% three-way split, then you only get 32% support. Anything less than 40% support is a disaster politically.
Its political poison for the Democrats. Their leaders are tepid in defending the Obama Administration’s crowning achievement. Its hard to find one person in this country who actually likes a law no one read.
First, a poll came out today that more Americans blame the government over wall street for the economy and now Democrats have dropped support for ObamaCare. This is great news.
This only happened because they figured out it would cost them money. Like any good socialist scum, it's all good when someone else has to pay for it.
