I wondered where they were when this all started and forgot that they might still be targets by their previous homeland government. However, I want to know how they vote and if they are willing to take up arms to protect themselves or our nation. I doubt they would even try to post info incognito on the web knowing they might still be targets.
My sister lives in a Russian immigrant area in a historic county here in eastern PA and the kids all drink and their parents are like the Latino immigrants who refuse to speak English. So much for immigration, even legally.
As to the parents not speaking English... it's not unusual for an immigrant to cling to what they know. They may not have loved the system of government they left, but many miss their friends, family and traditions. In the same way we as Americans miss our own traditions when others force us to accept new standards/values whilst destroying ours (I'm thinking along the lines of LGBT, American socialists/communists, Unions, Nancy Pelosi and her ilk - and the people who support same).
