You're absolutely right - socialism is a failure. Well, for the 99% that socialism tramples on. The people that have scammed/skimmed the tens of thousands of dollars off these ignorant rubes would say it has worked out great for them.
So, occupiers...how's that anarchy thing working out for you? ;-/

“LeDoux said the General Assembly had repeatedly asked the finance committee, of eight to 10 members, to provide an accounting of the money coming it, but the finance committee never did so.”
Can someone tell me why media outlets keep referring to these “committees” and “assemblies” like they are some sore of official part of some legitimate government.

LeDoux said the General Assembly had repeatedly asked the finance committee, of eight to 10 members, to provide an accounting of the money coming it, but the finance committee never did so. Don't worry, they'll form a Committee for Public Safety and sort this out old school.

LeDoux said the General Assembly had repeatedly asked the finance committee, of eight to 10 members, to provide an accounting of the money coming it, but the finance committee never did so.I'd say that if they aren't even sure of the exact number of people on the finance committee, then asking the finance committee to actually account for the money is a bit hypocritical.

Unexpected redistribution.
Excellent.

Pretty clear what happened here:
ACORN agents working behind the scenes correctly analysed that OCP was at its peak and wearing out it welcome...
...and transferred out the money to undisclosed accounts while they were ahead.
Becha you’ll see similar reports out of other locales as has already been discovered back east.
ACORN is behind all this...
=8-)

One commenter there mentions a “trench latrine”. In a city park? The city government is REALLY nuts.
