Even Democrats like defense spending, especially during recessions. They might talk like doves about defense spending in general, but they are hawks when it comes to protecting the defense jobs in their districts.

The whole intention of this “deal” was to make very visable cuts while the repubs hold the house.
The super joke will remain deadlocked until the Nov 23 deadline. Then the automatic spending cuts kick in and hit medicare and the military hard. These two were picked because they will be very visable cuts. Then the party’s media can run out right before Thanksgiving and howl about how hard hearted the repubs are for allowing all this to happen. They just wouldn’t compromise dontchaknow.

The dims will financially wreck this country to get power back in the house. This is their ultimate goal. They will have these massive cuts to run on all next year.
